Privacy Policy for AdGuard Mobile

Overview

AdGuard Mobile is an open-source mobile companion app for AdGuard Home. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.

Data We Collect

AdGuard Mobile does not collect any data. Specifically:

• No analytics
• No crash reporting sent to third parties
• No advertising identifiers
• No usage tracking
• No account registration required

Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following information locally on your device only, using Android's secure encrypted storage (expo-secure-store):

• Your AdGuard Home host address (IP and port)
• Your AdGuard Home username
• Your AdGuard Home password (encrypted)
• Your OPNsense API key and secret (encrypted, if OPNsense integration is enabled)

This information never leaves your device except to communicate directly with your own AdGuard Home and OPNsense instances on your local network.

Network Communication

AdGuard Mobile communicates exclusively with:

1. Your AdGuard Home instance — all DNS stats, device lists, query logs, and settings are fetched directly from your self-hosted AdGuard Home server on your local network.
2. Your OPNsense instance (optional) — DHCP lease data is fetched from your self-hosted OPNsense router for MAC-based device identification. This is only used if you enable OPNsense integration.
3. api.macvendors.com — used to look up device manufacturer names from MAC address prefixes (OUI lookup). Only the first 3 octets of a MAC address are sent, never a full MAC address.

No other external servers are contacted.

Third-Party Services

No advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media SDKs are included in this app.

Children's Privacy

AdGuard Mobile is a network management tool intended for use by adults. It does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
